The US and the global community have a wealth of information and examples of good and bad transit systems. What can we learn? Look at Boston, Minneapolis, Dublin and more. Pittsburgh is on par in terms of size with plenty of cities that have far more advanced systems. What is holding Pittsburgh back from being a truly remarkable city is the transit system. If Pittsburgh wants to be Portland, Chicago, New York City or San Francisco without the huge population, increased cost of living, and pressure of the namesake, improve transportation. The world recognizes Pittsburgh as the most livable city, a highly educated city, and extremely innovative and advanced city... but what do the RESIDENTS think? Make Pittsburgh work for Pittsburghers.
